I tend to take for granted
the many ways in which Spirit
loves and guides me.
That is the American in me.
All I need to do though,
is venture out of my realm
and I realize that there is
a world out there that is
struggling to maintain.
One such struggle is that of the endangered Tibetan civilization.

Recently, my family and I attended a performance by the Tibetan monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery entitled "The Mystical Arts of Tibet: Sacred Music Sacred Dance for World Healing". As the performance started, the monks proceeded onto the stage with a large photo of the Dalai Lama. Simply, this was the purest display of joy, dedication and harmony. Tears began to well up in my eyes, unexpected and unexplained .
All at once, I felt joy, guilt, compassion and panic. These men had truly attained enlightenment
and I could only imagine their sense of Spirit. Why hadn't I done something before now to
aid these WORLD HEALERS? Was there still a chance for the survival of their culture?

Group consciousness among the Tibetan people is one of compassion, love and uncertainty,
due to the presence of the People's Republic of China in Tibet since 1949.
This has caused Tibetan's to flee from their homes to safe refuge in India.
Their lands, that have been so brutally scarred and desecrated, still hold the
sacred energy that was anchored there so long ago. They may NEVER go back to them.
Their leader, the Dalai Lama has explained that he no longer prays for independence,
but for cooperative living amongst ALL of the creatures of this world.
Spoken with true love and compassion from a man who has watched his
beloveds tortured and killed. Love within the struggle and cooperation with ALL.
THIS IS SIMPLE. I begin within my own home, within myself, right now.
